Exactly, with gifted children you always have to try and provide both a fun, loving, innocent yet still a nurturing environment in which can help him advance at his own space. Here's another example.
After Stuffing himself with 3.5 chocolate doughnuts, he decided to punish himself by staring at a piece for 30 minutes without touching it. So I let him be and after the self punishment I asked him how he felt, he then came up with this conclusion
