KNCC dilema

It isn't KNCC's 1st time to decide to close their cinemas in the last 10days of ramadan.
AKA العشر الاواخر
It might be more cost effective for them to close their facilities rather than adjust their schedules, maybe their yearly maintenance takes place during the slow months.
I doubt very much that their reasons are in observance of the last ten days of the holly month. After all, it is a business, not a religious institute.

anywho Why go to the cinema if you can watch a movie on the lawn projected on a 4x4 screen with a bunch of friends at the charge of 5 k.d.

Its not a matter of being cost effective or not! Its a business! If thats the case, then most toy stores should close the two weeks after christmas, right?? But they dont!

Its a business and they have to respect their customers and their choices! Even if one person wants to go to watch a movie, they should be ready to welcome him or her anytime! As i mentioned earlier in zaydoun's blog, this is not a small highschool project that can be paused at any time for a rest or whatever....this is a publicly traded company, listed on the kuwait stock exchange, with thousands of shareholders! It has no right to stop business for 10 days whatever the reasons are!!

Here we assume that KNCC aims to be a socially responsible business that offers a quality service to its customers in a socially responsible context in which everyone benefits, the customer and the business.
There is a large KNCC clientele that appreciate the overly publicized 'Islamic' policy.
What is the real issue here? Monopoly and its vice? Or companies who bend easily against Sharia advocators?
Just how much pressure does KNCC get from Islamic MPs? Maybe 10 days a year buys them 355 days of smooth business? Assuming the case here is socio-religious! What if KNCC want to have their cake and eat it too, satisfy the majority and cut costs in one go?
