Attention Sushi Snobs
Welcome to the world of ingenious advertising
Now note the chopstick savvy Kuwaiti taking the piss at the “unrefined” guy using his hands.
I can’t decide if the creator of this ad is simply an idiot or a smartass taking the piss at everyone who might laugh at this ad.
You might wonder why?
COS JAPANESE PPL EAT SUSHI WITH THEIR HANDS, NEVER CHOPSTIX!!!!

i think who ever made that add is a smart marketer indeed.
its very typical and i've seen it alot ppl make fun of others who use their hands :)
Funny.
Today i was thinking aboooout *drumroll* how kuwaiti's eat rice with their hands. Why do they do they still do that? I understand when old people do that. But hmmm I can't complete this comment...bad images going through my mind.
But theres nothing wrong with eating sushi with ur hands.
You cannot eat sushi in a dishdasha

Smart yes, but that also indicates that your general public is:
a. Enjoys making fun of others
b. Think they know it all
c. Have no clue of other cultures (Cos they're too envolved in their own idiosyncratic indulgences)

Eating food with hands is encouraged by Mariam Nour & Co.
Purg
As oppose to a Kimono?
I've never seen this ad, but seems like the viewer is depicted as the trendy laughing guy. Since all of a sudden seaweed wrapped raw fish is trendy! (only in a community like ours can food be trendy) that's exactly who they should target in the ad. I call them the "Trendy Folks". I think the guy who produced this ad is a smart one, he related the ad to their potential customers. The snob ignorant prick with no character who constantly thinks they are better than everyone else. The ad i guess reached its target.
I on the other hand, see myself in the guy eating with his hands. Laugh at me all u want Mr chopsticks, i'm not the one eating with two twigs just to fit in.
PS. I know not all sushi is raw. Sushi lovers get really hostile when someone says all sushi is raw.
the dude
well said
Is sushi still all that great without the Yo!Sushi brand ?
To my mind, it was always an open and shut case of smart marketing and clever product placement;if you will, more than of the taste which made Sushi such a Yo!thing!
